Privacy policy
The short version: we collect only what we need to respond to you and do the work, we protect it, and we never sell, rent or trade it.
Who we are
This policy applies to triadfieldtech.com and to the services of Triad Network Infrastructure Consulting Inc., operating as Triad Field Technology ("Triad", "we", "us"), based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. We handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, trade or give away personal information to anyone, for any purpose. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it for anyone else's marketing.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, company, work email, phone number (optional), number and type of sites, the topic you choose and anything you write in your message.
- Site Network Check: the check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent anywhere unless you choose to send your results, in which case we receive your name, company, work email, number of sites, and your answers and scores.
- Email and phone: anything you send us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not track you across other websites.
- Security and spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm a person, not a bot, is submitting them. Cloudflare processes technical information from your browser for this check. Like any web host, Cloudflare also processes IP addresses and request details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
What we don't collect
We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media trackers or third-party ad networks. This site does not set cookies for tracking, so there is no cookie banner.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and follow up on the request you made.
- To send you a copy of your Site Network Check results if you ask for one.
- To prepare quotes, deliver services and manage our relationship with clients.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email unless you ask us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Client and site information
When we work for you, we may handle network diagrams, IP addresses, device configurations, credentials, camera footage and other details about your sites. We treat all of it as confidential. We use it only to deliver the work you've engaged us for, store it securely, share it only with partner trades or vendors who need it for your project, and return or securely destroy it when it's no longer needed or when you ask. Engagement-specific terms may add to this.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security, spam protection and analytics.
- Brevo: delivers the emails our website forms send.
- Our business email and file storage providers: where enquiries and project records are kept.
- Partner trades and vendors: for client projects only, limited to what they need to do their part.
These providers are required to protect the information and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, such as a court order.
Where it's stored
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of those countries, and may be accessible to their courts and authorities.
How we protect it
Information security is the core of what we do, and we apply the same standards to our own systems: encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this site, multi-factor authentication on our accounts, access limited to people who need it, and secure disposal when information is no longer needed.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become projects: up to two years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client and project records: for the length of the engagement and as long afterward as needed for warranty, support, and legal and tax requirements (generally up to seven years).
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it (subject to legal or contractual limits). You can also ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
